Born 1923 in Wandsworth. went to local school then moved to Chiswich. \joined the \territorial \army in June 1939 at 16. in army all thru the war. Went to Shepperton studio(previously known as Sound City) when demobbed as an electrician "sparks". Became active in the ETU. Worked with Korda. Second Assistant director at Pinewood. 1954/5 went freelance as camera or assistant director. 1960 became Unit Manager for British Transport films. Worked with Caryl Reise director on a minind documentary. Then ABC (Australia)as UK location manager
