Appreciation

Over the years, we have been made aware of the importance of the work we do; from interviewees, their colleagues and friends as well as broadcasters, filmmakers, researchers as well as academic, commercial and philanthropic organisations. Nevertheless it is always interesting to hear how our work is being used and also gratifying to receive notes of appreciation from the many varied users of our Archive whether they be students, industry professionals or general members of the public.

We’d like to share with you, here, a few sample notes of appreciation and general feedback, and encourage you to share your experiences with us, too.

“I am currently researching an article about the life and career of the writer and producer Donald Wilson. As part of my research, last month Sarah Currant at the BFI kindly arranged for me to access their copy of the BECTU Oral History Project interview with Wilson, recorded in 1991. It’s a very interesting interview full of fascinating and useful information, and I am extremely grateful to BECTU for having such a project that is of such use to researchers such as myself.”
