“Archives have value to nations and regions, organisations, communities and individuals. In ensuring their preservation it is essential to protect these wider interests and those of the worldwide cultural heritage.” (Source: The National Archives)
As a voluntary organisation, we are entirely dependent upon financial gifts and donations. These help us to continue to maintain the successful voluntary work we have been doing over the last 30 years; producing interviews across the UK and adding them to our national archive; cataloguing, digitising and managing our archive; and making our archive accessible to as many individuals and organisations, as possible.
Whether in the form of a One off or regular donation or a Gift in Will, your donation is valuable. If you would like to consider making a donation in memory of a family member, colleague or someone you admire, or if you would like to discuss a Gift in Will, please contact us directly.

How’s this as a start
The British Entertainment History Project is run entirely by small team of dedicated volunteers. The project is a wonderful collection of more than 700 interviews in sound and vision, with some amazing characters from the crafts of Film, TV, Theatre and Radio. Their stories, insights and experiences are invaluable not only as a record of these industries, but also as first-hand documents of our nation’s social and cultural history.
We are continuing to add to this rich collection.
However in order to make it discoverable we need to embrace the technology of digitisation and transcription for which we need funding.
