Mike Turk was a Swan Marker and the Queen’s Waterman who ran a family firm Turk Launches on the River Thames. He built traditional boats for use in films including A Man For All Seasons and Swallows and Amazons. He was boat master on Octopussy , Troy, Moonraker, and a Bridge Too Far
Established in 1710, Turks Launches have over the centuries built boats for royalty as well as export pleasure craft around the world. Their fleet of boats cruise thousands of passengers each year to the riversides of Richmond, Kingston and Hampton Court
