Noel Cronin

Noel Cronin, born on December 31, 1947, in the UK, is a distinguished British film editor, producer, and television entrepreneur, renowned for his significant contributions to the preservation and broadcasting of classic British cinema.   Cronin’s journey in the film industry began modestly as a post-boy at Rank, one of Britain’s prominent film companies. His passion and dedication led him to roles as a film editor in Soho during the vibrant 1960s and 1970s. Recognizing the importance of film preservation, he established a film distribution company, focusing on safeguarding classic British films.   In 2015, Cronin founded Talking Pictures TV, a family-run television channel dedicated to airing classic British films and television programs. Operating from his home, with acquisitions and scheduling managed from his shed, the channel has become a cherished destination for enthusiasts of vintage cinema.  His dedication to the film industry was honored in 2024 when he was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to television broadcasting.  Cronin authored an autobiography, “Reel to Real – A Life in Film,” providing an insightful look into his career and the evolution of British cinema.   Noel Cronin’s enduring passion and innovative contributions have played a pivotal role in preserving and celebrating Britain’s cinematic heritage, ensuring that classic films remain accessible to audiences for generations to come.

Marjorie (Sullivan) Graham

Marjorie Graham (née Sullivan) started at Associated-Rediffusion TV in 1955, working on the Opening Night of ITV programme, and later moving to Southern TV, TV South, Meridian, etc. Working as a production assistant with ARTV on shows with The Goons, music and light entertainment programmes, the drama No Hiding Place, and for two years on current affairs programme This Week, which involved regular filming abroad.  She moved on to  documentaries and continued to work for independent television companies until her retirement in 2000.
